Day 13 (Don't cry for us, Switzerland)
 

As it turned out, Sandra loves Switzerland just as much as I do. Which is a good thing, because she'll have to bare with me in going back lots of times! To misquote a(n in)famous Austrian <insert heavy German accent> "We'll be back"!

So Saturday was the day of returning to Geneva, to turn in our car, and to take the plane back to Amsterdam. We left Spiez early, to be able to enjoy some time in Geneva. We planned to stop somewhere before the city, to have lunch on a nice vista point for the last time, but we got into Geneva sooner than expected. So we ended up having lunch on a deserted spot at the airport, next to a plain spotter, not as romantic as we'd hoped for :o)

After cleaning the car, we brought it back to EasyCar for a final check up. We had feared the car return a little bit, because of a little scratch Sandra made parking the car :-(, because I left a little burn mark with my cigarette in the door's cover inside (which I only did so Sandra stopped feeling bad about the scratch ;-) , and finally because of the bar of chocolate which had melted inside one of the little storage places in the car. We hardly managed to clean it up again!

Luckily, the man inspecting our car didn't have much time to pay attention, being the only one to check customers in and out. And EasyCar doesn't consider a scratch less than 5 cm to be an issue. Ours was 'only' about 2 cm :o).
Having past that obstacle, we hopped on the train to the center of Geneva. There, we bought some last things (yes, of course we bought a survival package of food thingies! (chocolate, cheese, chocolate, bread, chocolate, salami, chocolate, cookies, chocolate and of course some chocolate ;-). After a few hours of bumming around town we returned to the airport (Geneva isn't very attractive strangely enough), caught our flight, and landed safely on Dutch soil again.
