Tourist trap or not, the tower provides an excellent view over Paris. And since it was Sander's first time ever, we went up. We avoided the elevator (if you are able to, always take the stairs. It saves you tremendous waiting time, it is way cheaper and a good exercise as well. It is really not that hard).
